Manufacturing Engineer/Technician • $70K – $100K + Bonus Houston, Texas A typical day in this role would involve checking the progress of current drill bit tests, preparing for new tests, reviewing results and communicating next steps. The successful Manufacturing Engineer/Technician is innovative and applies creative-thinking skills to patiently engage with employees at all levels of the organization. The individual in this position is also a true team member, making trips to the machinery and collaborating with everyone from vendors to the purchasing team. Ultimately, the applicant will need to read, analyze and interpret tests and have the expertise to troubleshoot the problem. To qualify, the Manufacturing Technician will have at least 5yrs of background in a matrix drill bit manufacturing environment, conducting similar tests and analyzing results; the Manufacturing Engineer must also have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy or other technical field. The perfect applicant must be skilled in intermediate Microsoft office and business systems software. Welding and Powder Metal background is preferred. Quality engineering background is helpful for this role.
