Gravel Pack Applications Engineer in Houston, TX

Provide technical services and support for those matters concerning gravel pack completion designs, operation and maintenance of the associated products, and routine and special product applications. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide global technical services and application engineering support for Gravel Pack products to employees within the Well Completion Technology Business Unit, clients and other business units within Weatherford. * Assist local operations with the introduction and continued support of Gravel Pack products into domestic and international markets, including traveling to those operations, as required. * Assist with and supervise the assembly and installation of Gravel Pack products, as required. * Provide input to Product Line Management on new product development, specifying the technical and operational requirements of commercially feasible products. * Participate in formal and spontaneous design reviews of new product designs presented by the Engineering group. * Participate in new product testing with Engineering group. * Manage and directly supervise special projects and suppliers as assigned by management. * Represent the company and product line's best interest in a professional manner at client and industry meetings and social events. * Provide marketing support as required. * Generate, review and update technical documentation supporting the Gravel Pack product line. * Generate, review and modify well completion procedures, including gravel pack installation and job procedures. * Instruct training classes to Weatherford employees or customers as directed. * Provide onsite field training and instruction to Weatherford employees on gravel pack equipment and procedures. * Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by management. * Write and present papers for professional engineering associations, e.g. SPE. * Keep up to date with sand control technology and industry developments. * All work assignments are to be carried out with integrity and professionalism and in a timely manner. REQUIRED SKILLS * Degree in Engineering or Science discipline preferred. * Five or more years of industry experience in a technical, engineering and/or commercial role. * Strong sand control completion background. Prefer minimum 3 yrs gravel pack completions experience. * Beneficial related experience
