Turnaround Project Manager in Houston, TX

This Turnaround Project Manager position is responsible for managing the preparation and execution of major turnarounds ($5MM to $65MM) for Company Houston Refinery. The purpose of this job is to manage site and contract personnel in an organization that can plan and execute a major turnaround with the objectives of ensuring personnel safety, environmental compliance, managing costs and execution duration such that the operating unit is restored or upgraded in mechanical integrity and process efficiency. This position has visibility to company senior leadership and provides an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills and turnaround management expertise. Responsibilities ? Provides leadership, overall coordination and guidance in the implementation of turnaround principles including safety, budgeting, planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, execution, and closeout for assigned turnarounds. ? Scope will include integration of turnaround expense and related capital projects. ? Responsible for developing the integration, coordination, and communication required among all internal and external resources to ensure turnaround interests and expectations remain in focus and consistently achieving results. ? Works with all management teams to ensure consistency in turnaround process implementation, assignment of qualified resources, and systematic execution of all turnaround activities. BS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience ? Minimum of 8 years experience in a process plant environment ? Experience performing in multi-functions areas such as maintenance, operations, technical/process, construction management, mechanical integrity, or capital project engineering ? Experience in a leadership role in the planning, coordinating, and executing of large or multi-unit turnarounds in refining, chemical, or petrochemical facilities ? Working knowledge of SAP ? P6 Intermediate User ? Experience as a Maintenance and/or Reliability Engineer is a plus ? Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) - preferred ? Certified Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) - preferred Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).
