Environmental Health Safety Manager in Houston, TX

Were currently hiring a environmental health and safety manager, to be located out of Houston, Texas and to be part of a company who maximizes the environmental and economic performance of the large vessels and power plants of its customers. With that said, youll manage and maintain the Environment and Health and Safety Legal and Other qualifications. Ensure the implementation of safety programs. Orient 6 U.S. facilities to coordinate their local waste and local safety regulations. Manage the compliance with legal requirement in all facilities. Coordinate the health and safety in the facility by providing proper training. Conducts employee orientation regarding safety and environmental practices in the facility. Ensure that necessary documented procedures are developed and maintained to fulfill the internal and legal qualifications. Manage and take the appropriate corrective actions on accident reports and near miss. Maintain plan for fire evacuation and disasters response. Follow up the drills performed by each facility. Support the Sustainability Coordinator to complete the report according to Company guidelines. Support the Quality Department to reach the QEHS system targets. Strive to achieve the targets determined by the company. Results of EHS process and Legal compliance.Must have a BS Degree in related scientific discipline and must be OSHA Certified. Must have 2 years background in environmental health and safety legal qualifications. Must have 2 yrs background in management system ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001. Must have management competencies, such as building relationships, goal focus, issue solving, coaching, team leadership, etc. Must be able to prioritize the tasks in order to reach the targets. Manage all EHS related tasks as required. Work as a team and able to identify the department needs and act pro-actively. Knowledge in Microsoft office suite. Excellent oral and written correspondence abilities. Demonstrated capability to establish effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
